Synthesis, characterization, and antimicrobial properties of copper oxide nanoparticles produced by laser ablation method in chitosan solution

Copper Oxide Nanoparticles (CuONPs) show a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity against various species microorganisms, including gram-positive and gram-negative fungi bacteria, but in general bacteria are more resistant to the effects copper nanoparticle ions than ones. In this work, synthesis oxide nanoparticles has been carried out using laser ablation methods were applied as antibacterial agent Enterococcus faecalis. Experimentally, Nanoparticle was with power 40 mJ. Antibacterial test disc diffusion paper soaked 0.1% chitosan solution (negative control), sodium hypochlorite (positive concentration 60 ppm, 80 100 ppm; then put into petri dish that planted faecalis bacteria. formed confirmed by UV-Vis, FTIR, SEM EDX analysis. Post Hoc Tukey HSD analysis showed significant difference negative control group, inhibition zone diameter treatment group same. The fired at pure plate succeeded producing solvent. firing time affects size nanoparticles. More energy is required produce smaller particle due its activity.
